Hi, everyone, I just wanted to warn everybody about a logo company that is out there that I think is extremely unprofessional and a bit shady... Innovative Eye (www.innoeyedesigns.com) They profess 3-5 day turnaround time and great customer service for $99... yeah, whatever!
I ordered my logo on 5-2 (Tues) in the a.m., got an email on 5-4 (Friday) saying my logo would be done that night or on Saturday. No logo came and no email saying they were still working on it. I emailed them Monday afternoon since I still hadn't heard anything, not to be impatient but just to be sure they didn't try sending it and it maybe didn't come through. (sometimes emails with big files don't come through to my aol account) Never got any reply back. So I tried their 800# at about 4pm Mon., thinking that I could just talk to someone real quick, and just got an answering machine, which I left a nice message on. Nobody called back (now keep in mind they say their hours are until 10:30pm). So at 9am on Tuesday I get an email saying that it will be ready in a few hours so by 3:30pm (6 1/2 hrs later) I still hadn't received anything. So I tried calling again and got the machine (didn't leave a message) At that time, I sent kind of a snippy email due to the lack of communication I had been receiving. I do realize that I was a little over-anxious to see my logo but he told me that it would be done fri or sat and then I had no further communication from him. It made me a little nervous. How do I know they didn't take my money and run.
So I get home late tonight and find a very rude email from him at 6pm saying that it would be ready at 11pm or I could get a refund if I wanted. Then at 10:30pm I have a refund from him... sorry it didn't work out, he says. I didn't even have a chance to tell him I wanted a refund since I wasn't home to check my email! I got the feeling that he hadn't worked on my logo at all. He tried saying that it said on their website that they were having phone difficulties, which is crap, because I checked over their website before I called and saw no such thing.
So now it has been a whole week, wasted! I can't do much without my logo. I have no idea what colors to use on my website, can't order business cards, brochures, shirts, etc. I'm starting all over with this logo process!
Sorry, for the long-winded account, I guess I'm venting! I just want to save other people some frustration. It seems like this is just some lame guy with a fancy website that makes him seem bigger than he really is but what do I know... To think that I almost apologized to him for the snippy email I sent!
Now, I think Marshiel used them for her logo, if I'm not mistaken. Sounds like she didn't have any problems. I'm a very laid back, easy-going person but this whole experience has really ticked me off! I just wanted some communication from him since he made promises and then didn't come through. So if you have all the time in the world then I guess go ahead and try them. But if you're on any kind of timeline to get going I wouldn't waste your time or money.
Does anybody else know of any good, affordable companies to use?
