If i understand correctly, Pope Pius XII ordered a retranslation of the Latin psalter. This is found the Brievarium Romanium of 1961. This is slightly different from the older psalter (which is more like the Douay Rehms Bible).
When this was translated into English, it is a 'newer' translation - the one that is being used in the Baronious reproduction of the "Collegeville" B. R.
Question: which Latin translation is referred to by Pope Benedict XVI in the Moto Proprio as her refers to the Liturgy of 1962.
Question #2: which English translation is most appropriate to use if you pray the B. R. in English.
