We have contractors moving into our area and I am hearing several versions from them when it is for a brick veneer home.We are happy as long as the exterior piers are not over 48 inches in height, 6 feet or less on center with the foundation anchors located in the piers and bonded with 9 gauge wire to the brick as in pier and curtain wall foundations. It is then considered brick veneer from that point up. The use of veneer ties (waffle ties) are not approved for structural (pier and curtain wall) use in our area. What are you folks doing?
