The commemorative book that you printed and that features Michael's photography is something that I keep on my shelf. I look back fondly to the summer of 2006 when I got to know a hilarious, wise and charismatic young man from Michigan who told great stories and who had a memorable, biting humour. Years later, I am an artist and teacher and I keep that book of photos nearby because it privileges me to have access to the creative spirit of a witty, introspective, effortlessly cool and truly compelling young man that I had the privilege of being acquainted with.
