Hi everyone. We are Grand Luxxe Villa owners and we are at Grand Luxxe Tower 2 right now on the top floor (9th). We have an outstanding view of Puerto Vallarta, the bay, wildlife refuge and sunsets. We can see the fireworks in Puerto Vallarta. Next week we will move to Tower 1 so we can experience both buildings. Tower 3 and 4 are under construction. They are presently 5 to 6 stories tall. The Mansions of the World will be a separate building on the beach at the point. Sales tells us that Luxxe owners with a “T” at the end of their Agreement number will have access to Mansions with their weeks. Our building is very quiet and there is no construction noise. Tower 3 is on the other side of Tower 1. We can hear noise while at the pool from building 3. Tower 4 is across the street from Tower 2. There will be a total of 7 towers. For those of you who were looking forward to Hawaii, we have been told that is off the table. Buenos Aires will have Mansions of the World. Vida has enough land purchased to keep projects going for the next 20 years.
There are no hammocks in building 2 and the TV’s are 42 inch. It seems that the model we saw had 50 inch sets but 42 inch is still a nice size. Perhaps, they are larger in Tower 1.
Everyone at Grand Luxxe is extremely polite and concerned for our welfare. They call every night to make sure we are totally satisfied. We have our own laptop and the Internet wi fi service is fine.
The new Mexican restaurant in the lobby of Luxxe 1 named Epazote, is outstanding, the best Mexican we have ever had. They opened 5 weeks ago. Punta Arena restaurant on the Beach at the Luxxe is also good. The pool area is quiet with nice music and has both a warm and cold pool. The staff is super courteous in the pool area and they have popsicles every day at 1:00.
I have been playing golf every day. Holes 1, 3 and 18 are being rebuilt and will be ready in March. They allow you to play 3 extra holes to make it 18. The golf course is in great condition and the caddies are fine. I thought mandatory caddies were bogus before I experienced having one but they do make the game more enjoyable. A previous contributor on this site stated they owe $5.00 of the $15.00 fee to the shop and I have confirmed this. Right now caddies work one group a day and if lucky, a few get to go out twice. The pay is what they get for a full day of work. In January and February there will be more opportunities for them to do 2 groups in a day. There are 32 caddies. Be generous when tipping the caddies as tips are most of their pay.
So far Grand Luxxe is what was represented and the staff, concierge etc. exceed our expectations. If promises are written and made a part of your contract they will honor it. Everything promised must be reduced to writing. If you decide to go to an update presentation while here, bring a copy of your contract and addenda to the presentation. If you upgrade, you will not forget to have everything included from your previous contact.
The staff and Sales personnel read this site and we were told by Sales that Bob and Mary Ann were here two weeks ago. My sincere thanks to Bob and Mary Ann for maintaining this wonderful site. The Sales people call it “The Blog”.
