Back in the 1970s, my dad worked in the advertising department at Allis-Chalmers in or near Milwaukee. One Saturday, a fellow employee was cleaning out a storage room and was about to throw out a number of original illustrations that had been done for magazine ads and brochures. My dad saved the paintings and kept them for many years. These are professional illustrations done in acrylic paint, I believe. Although not sighed, they were done by some of the top names in commercial art back then. The images depict A-C tractors in the field and in other situations. Scenes include farmers and dealers and various rural people involved in rural activities. Typically, the paintings are around 24 inches by 18 inches or thereabouts. I have perhaps ten of them. My dad passed away a few years ago and I would like to sell the paintings to help my mom pay some bills. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me sell these beautiful original one-of-a-kind works of commercial art? Matted and framed, they would look great on most any wall.

I would appreciate any ideas you have to offer.

Thanks. Greg Hobson ghobson@cox.net
