In Davenport Iowa, the home of Victor 16mm projectors, they were the only projectors used in the schools in Davenport. They were extremely rugged, had a long life, and were the gentlest on film because they had 3 triggers where if the film loop was lost, the projector would stop. They provided some consternation to people who were unaccustomed to their unique film path. The supply reel was on the left, the takeup on the right and the film path was on several different mathematical planes. I have two of these projectors and they still are working great even though one dates from 1948 and was given almost daily use in a school system. |
