IRMS now accepts CIGNA, Aetna, Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, QualCare, GHI in New Jersey (administered by Qualcare) and Saint Barnabas health plans.

The costs really depend on what your insurance will cover etc. When I did my cycle, my insurance covered my part of the cycle and I had to pay for the donor's cycle and her meds etc. I would check with IRMS about the costs. You go through a prep cycle where they see how your body reacts to the medications you need to be on and then once you do that and a few other checklist items, you go on the waiting list. During the cycle, you will take lupron (to synchronize your cycle with the donor) and then you will take estrogen and progesterone. It is much easier than all the injections you take for an IVF cycle. We waited for about 5 months but I think it depends on what your requirements are etc. If you had leftover embryos that were of good quality, IRMS would freeze them just like they freeze embryos from a normal IVF cycle.
