The most common cause of lumps in the arch is a condition know as Dupuytren's nodule or plantar fibromatosis. There is information regarding this condition on this site. Search here using only the word "Dupuytren" (do not include the apostrophe "s"). But this condition is not one which generally results from a bruise nor is the discoloration typical.
I strongly recommend that you have this seen by a podiatrist or other appropriate specialist, as tumorous masses should always be evaluated by a hands-on examination to assure that it is not a more serious condition. |
