My first thought would be that if anyone had severe arch pain for a year, reason would dictate that by now he would have consulted a podiatrist or other appropriate medical specialist for at least a diagnosis before he continued to attempt self-treatment . . especially after multiple attempts had failed. I would have to assume that if you had indeed done that, you would have included such information in your post. Therefore it would seem you had not. My ideas and advice is that you seek hands-on medical help. Treatment should be predicated on a diagnosis, and not merely a list of symptoms as voiced by the patient. After a professional diagnosis has been made, I will be happy to discuss it in general terms, along with the range of treatments available. Forums such as this are simply not appropriate venues for making meaningful diagnoses, and are of only dubious appropriateness for the offering of specific advice for individual cases. That can realistically only be done with full knowledge of the particulars and the nuances of the case.
