Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Gary's death. It's been nearly 13 years and so far the people responsible for his death have walked free. I don't know if an alternate lifestyle is the reason for Gary's murder and it doesn't matter if Gary was straight, gay or bi sexual; I do agree that he was afraid of something or someone. I don't know if Gary was having problems with his personal life, he didn't share that.
He did share the trouble he was having with the business side of his life, specifically the 'gosplel music business'. I've learned that there are people who work in the gospel music business not to promote God or his works but have their own ego's and agenda. Gary was a threat to some of them as they made remarks to 'watch your back' and visits to the store where Gary worked to point fingers in his face. I've wondered if this could be a hate crime?
Point is, Gary was very kind and gentle. Whomever set him up and took his life, for whatever reason needs to be held accountable. If they can kill someone like Gary, they will kill again or maybe they already have. So, whatever the reason or whatever lifestyle Gary chose, I pray that someone will come forward with information that will help put Gary's killer(s) away and bring us some sort of peace.
