My ultimate goal would be to see movement toward a single payer system, but this is no easy task by any measurement. I would consider it excellent progress if primary care began to be reimbursed for coordination of care and the counseling of patients for medical issues that specialists won't touch. I am optomistic that some change will occur in primary care during Obama's term, but unsure how far it will be taken...
