Can anyone identify the large orange bug or insect I've seen around the garden? It has mantis-like legs, is about six inches long with a wider-than-walking stick body. Its eyes appear to be on the same side of its head, and it has short, transparent wings, and, I believe, a proboscis, although I'm unsure on this last feature. It is large enough easily to be mistaken for a bird. Thanks for any information. |
