I am a thirty year old female. I slipped and broke my left foot's fifth metatarsal bone three weeks ago, I went to the doctor after walking on it for a day mistaking it for an ankle sprain. I was told it was a jones fracture or more of an avulsion fracture takes from 6-8 weeks to heal if I don't step on it, the doctor gave me crouches and a walking cast. I am sick of staying at home all day waiting for the bone to heal. so worried it won't and keep on thinking if I would ever return like I was before; as I was a very active person who runs in high heels without any pain. Will I ever be able to dance in high heels again and when? Has anybody had a 5th metatarsal fracture before if yes, is returning to normal possible
