I am looking for any answers I can get. I am 8 days post a McBride bunionectomy and I am still unable to walk, hobble or heel walk for more than 3 steps. I was able to go several feet the day before but the last 2 days has been agony when hobbling along or standing. I, thankfully, had crutches on hand to aid in getting to the bathroom. I have pain all across the top of the middle of my foot and on the opposite side of the surgery site, too(which is new). I also am experiencing a burning sensation across the top of my foot. I called my MD yesterday and the nurse said it may still be quite painful to walk, but as the day progressed into night, after office hours, it got even worse. My foot is not warm to the touch and I am not running a fever. Is this normal and all part of the healing process or is something else going on? Am I expecting too much too soon? Any responses would be appreciated. Thank you!!
