Easy installation - no software required
After signing-up, you will configure your message board and then add a few lines of HTML code to your page, eliminating the complicated software installations and programming required by other services.
Customizable background
Select from a default browser background, specify a single hex color or provide an image to be used for your background. Simple hexadecimal color selection tools help you match board colors exactly with your site.
Customizable font colors
Enter a hexadecimal code to change the font color or use our color palette to select a color.
Customizable font size
Choose the font size of the text on your board. You can choose smallest, small, medium and large. They are equivalent to sizes 1-4 in HTML.
Customizable font face
Choose between Arial, Times Roman or Courier to customize the look and feel of the text on your message board.
Customizable board colors
Select from nine color schemes or design your own with our easy-to-use hexadecimal color palette.
Control board width
You can set the width of your board in pixels or as a percentage of the user's browser window.
Control board alignment
Choose to center your board, or choose left- or right-alignment.
12 language options
BoardServer supports English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, French (Canada), German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Swedish and Portuguese.
Privacy options
List your board in our directory or select a private board that is accessible from your site only.
Filtering and monitoring options
Review all message content and delete entries at your discretion. BoardServer has a built-in language filter that replaces offensive words with @#$&! characters.
Ban IP address
Ban a specific IP address for posting unwanted messages.
Message icons
Choose from several icon options for new messages and thread expand/collapse options. New message icons can be custom designed if desired.
Scalable threading options
The view of the messages on your board can be set to collapse threads by default (don't show replies in message list) or expand all threads (show replies in message list).
Email notification of new postings
Receive an email when there is a response to your posting.

Choose from several message board button options for your page or design your own.
   
Choose time zone for display on board
Select the time zone for your message board to display.
Customizable headers and footers
Create a custom header and footer, select from a template or choose no header or footer. Custom headers and footers may contain any color, font size or image you select. A separate window allows you to view all changes to BoardServer board dynamically.
