I had my big toenail removed after experiencing trauma to it playing soccer. It pretty much fell off and was only hanging on by a thread, so I saw a doctor to have him remove that portion. Well, he decided to also remove the part of the nail that had begun to regrow. It has been about 2 months now, and I can't see any new nail growing back. Does anyone know how long it will take for me to actually start to see the tip of the new nail? I am getting concerned that it isn't going to grow back. The doctor said it was a temporary toenail extraction and that it would be fully grown back in 6-7 months. I would think I should have started to see something by now.
