My wife's foot was run over by a cart at a festival last Saturday (similar to a golf cart I guess). She went to the emergency room and the x-ray was normal so apparently nothing was broken. It was swolen initially but the swelling and discoleration is mostly gone. However after 6 days there is still considerable pain. She will be seeing a doctor next week but in the meantime any advice or thoughts would be helpful.
Should she be resting the foot or exercising it? Is it unusual to have the pain last that long if nothing was broken? What is probably causing the pain? |
