Gotta say, Susan, with this, your second comment of the day in regard to this product . . . my infomerial warning system just started to beep loudly. Could it be that you have more than a passing interest in this product? I would assume tht "PUMI" refers to pumice, and pumice stones have been used to debride callouses for eons.

In any event, just look at what I also found . . .

Podiatry Management Magazine, which tends to speak to the BUSINESS of podiatry, included an article (or ad . . I don't know which) in its Oct, 2004 edition entitled,

"PERSONAL PUMI BAR REMOVES CORNS/CALLUSES AND BOOSTS YOUR BOTTOM LINE"

The article goes on to state:
"Dr., what can I use to remove my corns and calluses?" is a question podiatrists hear often, and Teregen now provides an answer with their Personal Pumi Bar. The Personal Pumi Bar gently removes corns, calluses and dry skin from hands and feet and works in conjunction with the treatment provided in your office. The bar is used with soap and water, in a shower or bath, by gently massaging it onto the surface of the hands and feet.

"The Personal Pumi Bar is the preferred product recommended by podiatrists to treat their patients' hyperkeratosis and to gently remove corns, calluses and dry skin, because it safe, inexpensive and extremely effective," said a spokesperson from Teregen, "and at the same time you can GENERATE 55%+ PROFIT (caps mine) for your practice."

It may be of interest that also to be found on the Internet is this warning letter from the FDA
(http://www.fda.gov/foi/warning_letters/g4863d.pdf)to
Teregen Labs, which has the same business address as the Teregen Labs which makes this product,
in regard to other products which they ostensibly manufacture, but it does not mention or reference the particular foot-care product in question.

I've never use or prescribed the product, and I am unable to comment on its efficacy. Furthermore, I no nothing else about the aforementioned company, nor can I attest to the validity of the warning letter which I referenced.

I though I"D help too.
