Is it only your right foot that pronates? If this is true, has any doctor measured your limbs to determine if you have a limb length discrepancy? Many times when only one foot pronates, it may be a sign of a limb length difference, where the "long" leg pronates and the "short" leg supinates. Most manual methods of measuring limb length are inaccurate and non reproducible at best, and specific types of x-rays are needed. Once again, this is only if a limb length discrepancy is suspected. The next question would be whether the "arch supports" you are wearing are over the counter or were prescribed by a doctor. If the supports were prescribed by a doctor, my recommendation would be to return to the doctor that prescribed the supports and discuss your concerns. If you haven't been to a doctor, this would certainly be an excellent time to make an appointment since I can not evaluate or examine your foot over the internet. Good luck and answer some of the questions I've asked and maybe I can give some more specific information. |
