Hi,
I have calluses on my feet aswell, my podiatrist gave me a product that allows me to gently remove my calluses and thick dry skin on my heels. It is called the Personal Pumi Bar. I use it in the shower a couple times of week and it really does the trick. You might want to try it.
Thought I'd try and help.

Such a product is okay as a mechanical debridement for diffuse callouses and buildup of dead epidermal tissue which may be undesireable, but rarely, if ever, acutely painful. Such callouses are more akin to those found on the palms of the hand from manual labor and those resultant from dryness and/or the lack of sufficient friction to cause the dead cells to slough. They are not the weight bearing ball-of-the-foot callouses which are caused by pathomechanics and poorly distributed weight patterns beneath the metatarsal heads, and which are often quite painful. These are the sort that most patients have when they complain of callouses and they require much more definitive treatment sometimes including surgery of the metatarsal bone.
