A few years back when I worked as Veterinary nurse I had a lot of aching in the middle area of my upper calf ( right below the back of my knee) I used to wear a neoprene brace for it to try to help it, I thought it may be from being on my feet all day.
Dec.05 I injured my left foot somehow while out making deliveries ( doing ALOT of walking). I felt like something "catch" in the bottom of my left foot (very painful) I continued on and went back out working the next day but had to quit after a short time because of the pain in my foot. I went to my Dr. about 2 weeks after it happened and he felt some swelling along the arch area Also there is a "knot" there that hasn't gone away. There is pain that goes the length of the side of my medial arch.(along the metatarsel) In Jan. I went to a podiatrist that thinks I may have partial tear to my posterior tendon and also tendon insertion damage. I have been to physio that hasn't helped. I also get aching across the the area in front of my heel and pain and aching along the tendon that goes from the side of my heel behind the ankle and up my calf.It now feels like I'm getting some ankle problems from this, the lateral side of my ankle has started to ache and it feels like I have a knot or something in the area tothe right of my my lat. ankle bone in the joint. I'm not flatfooted and there doesn't seem to be much pain on toe raises ,just lack of strength. I went yesterday and had an nerve conduction study (no EMG done) for tarsel tunnel but that was fine. MRI is set for next week. This has been going on with my foot for almost a year now, I hope the MRI shows something! Do you have any ideas on this? Thanks for any help!
