The first question to be asked is if the feet are cold to the touch or you simply perceive them to be cold. Next, if the feet are actually cold to the touch, are there any color changes, areas where hair has been lost, shiny and/or atrophic and/or thin skin or ulcerations? Are the feet very pale in relation to rest of the body. Do the feet turn a purplish-red color when standing or seated and do they blanch when the leg is raised.

Some coldness of the feet in relation to other parts of the body is often normal, but with or without color changes or the other indicator of poor circulation which I have mentioned, the circulation must be assessed for adequacy. See a podiatrist or a vascular specialist.
