about 10 days ago I must have stumped my little toe, it turned colors, and was sore for a while, although I have no recollection of doing it.

then yesterday moring, I began having pain in the joint of the big toe of the same foot (left) . If the little toe hurts anymore, the pain is not felt, but the big toe pain is.

I am 47, 6 ft 1, 250 lbs male, good health relatively, no known other health issues except need to lose about 50 lbs. blood pressure is normal, I eat a pretty healthy diet, no smoking, occassional drink, no medications. I did notice the pain started afte weekend where I was barefooted more than normal, but the pain has lingered for 2 days now. no known cause. flexibility seems limited now, but not much swelling comparision to other foot. after waking up no pain in it until started flexing it while getting ready for work

thought occurred to me if some infection of other to may have cause it, or maybe while walking and protecting the little to I put stress on the big toe.
