I fractured my third and fourth toes on my right foot seven years ago. My doctor told me to tape them together and walk it off. My third, fourth and fifth toes have all been pointing inwards with the nail pointing downwards since. I've had painful calluses on the bottom of these toes for awhile now and they've recently started to get out of hand. I tried a pumice callus remover about a week ago and two of the three calluses along with part of the other came off. The one that partially came off, the middle toe, started oozing blood from what looked like a crack in the callus/skin, The calluses have since reappeared and they are more painful than ever. I should probably go see my doc, but I work in the crazy retail business where I'm summoned into work every last second I have off and nobody at my doc's office ever answers the phone or listens to voicemail. I was wondering if anyone could recommend something I should do to ease this in the meantime until I'm able to schedule an appointment! Thanks, Nick
