Sudden occurrence of spontaneous bruising can be a symptom of a host of blood and blood clotting as well as general medical problems, some of a serious nature, as well as the more typical and common mechanical/traumatic insults to tissues. But the more common etiologies when the bruising is confined only to the soles of the feet would suggest that one first look at the more common mechanical/traumatic causes, especially the shearing force injuries which generally are the causes such bruising. If there are no medical considerations which come to light, the use of an anti-shearing force insole such as Spenco may be helpful. But, especially with pregnant women, I would always advise making your OB/GYN aware of this and any other changes in your body for which you cannot account. |
