***********************************************************Unless you have failed to share something unusual regarding your injury, 14 weeks would be an exceptionally long period of time both to be in a cast and to have a metatarsal fracture which has not yet healed. That being said, the evidence of fracture healing on x-ray is generally considered to be about two weeks behind actual clinical healing. But if your doctor is considering bone stimulation, normal healing most not have progressed. Jones fractures are not uncommonly complicated with mal-union problems.

Swelling is an individual thing and generally is determined by physical factors relating to the specific patient. Bone stimulation methods achieve varying results and are rarely, if ever, attempted unless there is a significant problem, the degree of which can only be determined by a hands-on evaluation, and any definitive comment specific to your situation by someone on the Internet is certainly not to be relied upon.
