One condition presenting with knots on the plantar surface and palmar surface comes to mind. Patients presenting with Dupuytren's Nodules of the foot often have similar nodules in the palms of their hands, but they are not generally red and they are generally not accompanied by swelling beyond the protrusion of the knots. This IS a condition which is treated by podiatrists in the FOOT, but not in the hand, where it is generally accompanied by deforming contractions and is a problem beyond only pain. |
