Hi,
I have a burning sensation on the side of one foot, on the inside of my foot near my arch. It will happen randomly and last 5-10 seconds and it's very intense. It also feels like tiny needles in there too when it happens. On the same foot, my heel will often feel bruised. I have tried resting my foot for months with no success. Additionally, over the summer, I think it was the planter's facia (I'm sure this is spelled wrong) was aching to the point where I could barely walk. I keep thinking if I stay off of it, it'll clear up but it hasn't. I've also been wearing very supportive shoes, which seems to help the planters problem. So, two questions: 1)any ideas what it might be?
2)what type of doctor should I see - a podiatrist or orthopedic?
