I have uncovered a photo of a B. Cohen and Bob Johnson who I think were stationed in Camp Cromore, Portstewart, Northern Ireland in early 1944. My Aunt (still going strong at 99 years old)gave me the photo - I believe she knew one of these men. The photo shows the two men dressed standing relaxed and cheerful (both smoking pipes)in front of what appears to be sleeping quarters at a trainng camp. The back of the photo has th following writing... "TEXAS JUNE 1943 B.Cohen, B.Johnson". I would love to hear from anyone who knew or still knows these men - I have the greatest respect for what the Allied forces acheived during WWII. Their courage and integrity has inspired me in my life. |
