I have the HQ Company 3rd Battalion company photo of Nov 1943 with James F. Colley. The 508PIR.org site has him receiving a Good Conduct Medal about the same time. My father did not mention his name in any of his letters home and he is not on my wounded POW listing from Rennes Military Hospital so he didn't go through there with my Dad.
The NARA listing of POWs list shows him in Stalag 4B in Muhlberg Germany.

The NARA listing of enlistments in WWII shows he was enlisted in Fort Thomas in Newport Kentucky and came in the Army in 1942. He was from McDowell County in West Virginia and born in 1916.
