I have an 11 week old GSD and she is about 95% housebroken. But we are having an issue with crate training. We will take her outside and she will eliminate and we play with her as a reward, but she still likes to "go" inside of her crate. Yesterday my wife took her outside and needed to put her in the crate to take care of personal things. She was in the crate for appx 45 minutes and went out 15 minutes before that. That is a total of an hour without being outside. We usually take her out about every 2-3 hours. During her time in the crate she elminated inside of it. However during night time we will put her in her crate and she will be accident free. There has also been another ocassion where the pup will just walk into her crate and eliminate after she has just come back inside. How can we stop this? |
