3-30-1939 Female Missouri
To whom it may concern,
My name is Kristin Jurgesmeyer and I am trying to find out information about my paternal grandmother, Mary McCready, who passed away in her early twenties. All of the family that might have any information is deceased. My father, her biological son, is deceased.
We were told her birth name was Florence Mae Jones and that she was born 3/30/1939. She was a foster child to her adoptive parents (Frank and Ethel McCready), whom later adopted her in St. Louis starting in the 1940’s. Her adoptive mother was a long time member of the St. Louis Board of Children’s Guardians for many years so I’m assuming she was one of their children. I did find her name as a foster daughter for them on the 1940 census. Do you have any ideas on how I might get some information regarding her biological parents, adoption, etc?
