Here it is -- 8:30PM on Sunday, and Sandi already has pictures on the website!

First things first -- We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the reunion committee for their hard work, imagination, and execution of a flawless three-day event. Thanks to the local team for all that you did to make this a memorable weekend for all. From the venues to the food, the decorations (the blue sand buckets were perfect!), the festive leis, music, ambiance -- you made it ALL happen and it was all just PERFECT. No detail was overlooked. Sandi, your work with the website, getting people involved, delegating, thinking of ways to make this event great ... in short -- your leadership made it all come together. And thanks to the Drumms and to the Dades for being such gracious hosts Friday night and Sunday morning.

By all accounts, this reunion far exceeded my expectations. Mike Foley did a great job of capturing the spirit of the event -- no pretense, nothing to prove -- I think we all like and accept each other more now than we did 40 years ago. And it turns out that despite those happy faces at school those many years ago, many of us felt excluded, insecure, and at times very unhappy throughout our BHS years. How reassuring to see that we have overcome these personal challenges and have emerged older (sigh) but wiser and more accepting of everyone. What a great group of people -- I feel I have made new friends and I am so glad I came! Janalee Brennan was so sweet today -- as I was leaving she told me I was "glowing!" Well, I think everyone was "glowing" throughout the weekend!

I love the idea of a 5-year "destination reunion" somewhere! Anywhere! It will be a challenge to find just the "right place" but wherever we decide to meet again, I know it will be a lot of fun. If a hot, humid, sunny place (ugh) is where everyone ELSE wants to go, then I'll just slather on the sunscreen, carry an umbrella and deal with it! Wherever we meet, I know we will rekindle these "new" friendships once again.

I'm not sure we can top this one, but I certainly hope that the 50th back in Bay will bring more people and that we can find some of our "lost" classmates in the interim. Can't wait to see you all again!

Thanks, everyone, for being there and for making this weekend so much fun!
