Regarding your original question. I also have a 1493 Rock-Ola Princess that I am attempting to refurbish. It also has been sitting for years unattended. I am getting the same issue where I can make a selection and the and the write in carriage will spin to the selection (and sometimes it just keeps spinning) but then when it does stop the 28V lightbulb / fuse? inside the cabinet lights up and everything stops.
I will attempt the sliding the pins in and out but another thing I notice is that the tone arm assembly is "stuck" over where the record should be and the gripper arm also is that position also. Is there a "reset" or "home position" sequence? |
