In the administrative section of past codes, there was a requirement to notify the Building Official in the event of an accident.( BOCA,Section 3000 )I have not found this requirement, spelled out clearly, in the current editions IBC or the USBC. As always, the Building Official has the authority to cause appropriate actions to be taken, but is there a code requirement to report accidents and/or perform an accident investigation? If so,by code, who performs the investigation? (Bldg. Officals Office,Fire Marshall,Law Enforcement,Third Party Inspector/Inspection Agency) Thanks for your input.Dale.
