I have been lurking in the baugnrockd here for several months. I searched the blog for Pinto Beans when I first found you and did not find what I was looking for. But after reading many of your recipes I KNEW you would come up with the pinto beans my mom always served and we all loved so much. One uncle would come to visit, walk in the door, give out a few kisses and head for the stove. I don't ever remember him not finding pinto beans there. I particularly favor the cornbread side, but we'd often have a bowl of pintos with tacos or enchiladas as well.
