Tralon; Since you just started in The Companion Bible you will find many things that will both puzzel and somtimes frighten. That is because we have been following traditions of many thoughts, traditions while bearing truth also carry a lot of untruth and mens thoughts. If you will read athe notes and in manny cases follow every lead you will see that Bullinger has attempted to reduce everything to the original words, their meaning and intent with reference to all pertanent variations and explains which words were rejected by the list of translators and why. Appendix 94 will enlighten you in this. This is to give you the oportunity to evaluate what he says for yourself. I would recommend that you read carefully the preface to become familiar with abreviations etc.

This commision was given to those apostles of Israel after The rejection and then crusifixion of Israel's Messiah and king. This commission would be in force till Israel's final rejection of their King in Acts 28:28. Then would become valid again when the Church age is over. and the kingdom would again be preached. Had the Jews (leaders of the despora believed Paul this commission would have stayed valid, and the mystery of the Church would have not needed to be revealed.
Do your best to prove (not just think him wrong) Bullinger wrong, and read every ap. as it is refered to. test every thought not by your traditions but by the word of Truth. These Ap. have a wealth of knowledge not readily available today. You will find a wealth of knowledge that you can mine for many years to come. I would recomend Bullingers CRITICAL LEXICON and CONCORDANCE to the ENGLISH and GREEK NEW TESTAMENT It is excellent in its simplicity but completness. It is by Kregal Publications ISBN 0-8254-2096-2 If you have a parallel English Greek New Testament it will also help for comparisons, trust no one but the word. Do not trust me unless you test what I say by the original word.
