Hi! I'm in my late twenties and have always had oddly shaped toenails. Over the last year, my left big toe has started developing a pincer nail, which causes me some moderate to serious discomfort. I'm concerned that the right one is going down that track too... I wear nursing shoes with plenty of room in them, so my shoes are unlikely the cause.
I'm wondering if there are any techniques recommended to retrain the toenail to grow properly... Research has indicated surgery, but I do not feel that I want to opt for that first.
Are there any products or options that anyone knows of to essentially pull the corners of the nail up to guide it's growth (to start flattening it out) that I can try at home?
Thanks! |
