A personable young Podiatrist comes to our senior building often to promote his practice. I was initially put off by his aggresivity to accrue clients. Yet, I let him talk "me" into fixing my one middle hammer toe.

All went well until now on my 13th day of "recuperating". He removed the stiches 4 days ago and a nurse put salve on the toe. A while later it became swollen red, though it is not infected. When I told him it now also burns like hell he said I was probably allergic to the antibiotic but the nurse (confidentially) insists that's impossible by its composition alone and she then cleaned it off anyway.

I cannot get rid of a constant fire like burning sensation at the top of the toe that remains swollen.

The doc insists I walk too much but I have barely walked for five days since it also feels like I'm again rubing against the top of a shoe even in socks.

Any suggestions? I desperately need to go back to work.
