 Subject: bone scan showed bones in feet degenerating

Hi,
I recently had a bone scan that showed "significant" degeneration in the mid-section of both feet and 2nd toes. I do have peripheral neuropathy related to chemotherapy that my oncologist does not expect to resolve. I'm wondering what I can expect to happen with my feet from this degeneration and if a podiatrist might be able to help in dealing with the pain and progression.
