 Subject: ball of foot

In the last few month I have started having a odd foot problem that between the ball of my left foot and toes. It feels like my sock is crumbled up in this area whenever I have even the slightest weight on it. When I take my shoe off my sock is always ok. Even when I don't have a sock on it feels like there is a sock bundled up. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?
