Maria West,I would suggest you follow up with a Podiatrists,try to take the x rays from the hospital with you.Several things can happen if you don't get good follow up care 1. Malunion,requring surgery down the line,nonunion,from too early weight bearing. Even an post traumatic infection could occur. Hospital emergency rooms are notorious for not explaining possible results,not referring to a specialist,ect. Many times ,in their defense however,they are so busy,they don't have time to be sure you get proper follow up,sincerely Pat Cain |
