Your mothers' coronary artery disease is not an isolated event. If it exists to the pump(heart), it exists throughout the body. This includes the carotid arteries as well as leg arteries.
If the incision is slow to heal on the leg, clinical manefestations of peripheral arterial disease exist.Based upon her current health status, a determination should be made as how to proceed.Non-invasive exams and invasive exams exist to determine arterial flow.Medication and surgery exist to ameliorate symptomology. This can and should be evaluated by a podiatrist, invasive cardiologist capable of peripheral stent placement or peripheral vascular surgeon. |
