I assume something in my left foot along the mid outer edge was injured. It first occured as a dull burning discomfort along the outer side of my foot during a 10 mile run.The discomfort was not bad enough to cause me to stop running. After the run as the night progressed my foot became more sore felt like a burning sensation that increased as i put pressure on the foot while walking. As you say i should have left well enough alone, but played soccer the following night and my foot had a constant pain along the outer edge for about 3 days. The pain and discomfort gradually went away and on the 7th day i felt pain free. I went running and for the first 2 miles felt fine then the burning sensation returned during the third mile and i stopped. As a runner i have had a variety of injuries and was looking for some input as to what this could be and what caused it. I have not resumed running, but would like to know if this is something that will require medical attention.
Thanks
