When you say you have been to the 'foot doctor' are you referring to a surgeon or a community podiatrist? Most people with excess callus visit a podiatrist to have the excess callus painlessly debrided. This is a procedure that all qualified podiatrists routinely offer. Self help measures include reducing the callus with a pediwand (puchased at most pharmacies) and moisturising to improve flexibility.
