I was diagnosed with a cuboid stress fx from a bone scan in January. After 3 weeks in a cast and on crutches I was given a cam walker for 6 weeks. No reduction in pain so an MRI was ordered which confirmed the cuboid stress fx. It has now been 6 months and the pain is still present. I have seen a foot specialist who says that it can take up to a year for these injuries to heal. Please tell me this isn't so. I am a runner. I have recently begun to try to run..2 days a week, 30 min at a time but now my pain is back more frequently. Am I really relegated to just biking and swimming again????? |
