Doctors are hard to come by in some places, especially specialists. Some people have picky insurance companies that limit patient choices or don't give them a choice at all.
Most people treat doctors with respect, like cops with pistols, only the doctors carry the cure. Then again, some doctors see so many patients in a day that the healing art shrinks to a couple minutes of fast questions and a quick evaluation and prescription, then out the door.
Sometimes, the patient hears what he wants the doctor to say, and goes away happy, but not treated well. Other times, the doctor is brusk, but right, and cures the ailment and opens a new wound.
Finding a "Doc Dick," God bless the old town doctor long dead, is hard. That might be why people come to the Foot Health Forum for some help they haven't found elsewhere. |
