The Foot Health Forum is, of course, free of charge, but when paying patients do not receive the treatment they rightfully deserve for the fees they pay to their own doctors, and yet they fail to assert themselves with indignation just as they would with any other provider of goods or services who cheat them or fail to give them value for their money, they must bear some of the responsibility for both their dissatisfaction and the promulgation and justification of this sort of non-service by some doctors. The same folks who crawl into a fetal position when their paid doctors give them short shrift are frequently not at all so timid when it comes to occasionally giving me guff anonymously for my free advice. I have to think that face to face, they would assume the same fetal position with me. It's so much easier to pretend you are assertive with a total stranger. Sad but true . . but as long as patients act like lemmings, some doctors will treat them as if they were. |
