It sounds like you have a Morton's Neuroma. Do you have a callus on your foot above your arch? Does it sometimes feel like the bottom of your foot is swollen or that you have a lump in your shoe? There are several treatments-injections of cortizone or an alcohol of some sort to having surgery. The surgery isn't so bad-but the neuromas sometimes grow back. A sonogram of your foot will show if there is a neuroma and is cheaper that an MRI. Don't wait-they never seem to get better on there own. I speak from experience. Ellie
